RADIOPUHELIMET
For twenty years Radiopuhelimet has been the leading name of Finnish alternative rock scene. Founded in March 1986, Radiopuhelimet has offered highly original music in the vein which can be called only their own. Their manically rocking, funky style was once named as "violence jazz"; influences which comparative approach usually calls up are The Stooges, Captain Beefheart, The Birthday Party and James Brown; often there's more than a hint of blues and psychedelia. But their recipe is totally unique and far from any copycat-ridden "alternative" music.Webpage: http://www.radiopuhelimet.net/

DRAKES'S MEDICINE
There are certain situations in life and in music where improvisation may be the best way to move on. It’s hard to say exactly when Drake’s Medicine was founded. The band was a therapy project for a long time for a couple of guys living in Kotka. In fall 2002 Tuukka (of Kevyt Nostalgia Records) needed one more band to the Mental Alaska club in restaurant Kairo and asked if Drake’s Medicine could play live. Guys thought that the music had developed to a point where live performance was possible. The response was positive and the band decided to carry on as a real band, not just a side project. One song was recorded to a Finnish underground collection called Tididii Tididii Tididiididii - A 267 Lattajjaa Compilation (Released 7.7.2003). Drake’s Medicine marched to the studio again the same year and recorded a song for Hotguitars / Drake’s Medicine split 7” (Released 6.10.2004). 2004 is an important year for the band. The line-up has changed from a trio to a big band containing seven persons. Saxophone, percussions, sweepguitar and synthesizer have been added to fill the sound of a normal bass, guitar and drums combo. On some gigs there has also been visitors playing with the band. Music is hard to genre because the group is not playing same songs over and over again. All things are changing all the time and you can be sure that you won't hear identical record or live performances from this band. Drake's Medicine is a true improvisation band and this means that they hardly do any decisions what they play before they start playing. This keeps the music fresh and surprising.MP3 & VIDEO: http://www.sweetcore.org/audiovisual.php

DROWNING NATION
Drowning Nation plays traditional fast hardcorepunk… Yeah, we know that you.ve heard that thousant times before. But you also like that food your mom has made for you past ten years, right? So this is what we are and this is what we will be.Drowning Nation were founded in summer 2002 when 4 guys decided to do something different that what their previous band has done. More straight forward, straight to the point hardcorepunk. Just a simple songs with lyrics that make sense.
What’s the purpose of Drowning Nation you might ask? Well, to be honest we dont’ have any specific purpose. We just play music we love and try to release frustration and rage that this world around brings. We just try to do something with our so short lifes.
This is what have happened so far.. take care.
Drowning Nation is:
